Juan Ramirez
A native of Bogota, Colombia, Juan Ramirez studied construction administration, history of architecture and architecture at Syracuse University. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Syracuse in 1996.
Juan has worked and studied in Florence, Italy and Graz, Austria, further broadening his experience and appreciation of great architecture and design. He also now speaks English, Spanish, German and Italian fluently, an additional gift from his travels that he finds useful in his work.
Applying his design and construction sensibilities to both commercial and residential architecture, Juan worked with a variety of architecture and construction firms before launching Studio d+c Inc. in 2002.
For him his studio is an interpretation of the true master builder when the design and construction process were not separated. Juan holds several core beliefs that set him apart from other designer/builders:
• He oversees every project personally. He is the client’s main point of contact from the initial meeting throughout the construction process.
• He understands the need for client buy-in and comfort. Juan excels at guiding clients through the design process, maintaining design integrity while staying true to the architectural style and client budget.
• Creativity. If a client wants a detail that could break the budget, it’s a good bet Juan can creatively incorporate the essence of the idea in a cost-effective way.
• A close relationship with subcontractors means innovative design can co-exist with craftsmanship AND cost-effectiveness.
Anja Weninger
As a Studio d+c partner, Anja is involved in all phases of the firm’s design and construction process. Anja has a talent for creating unique design and space solutions. With a strong belief in architecture as a multi- layered discipline, her projects reflect a balance between the building’s skin and interior spaces. She uses interesting color combinations, finishes and furniture selections to complete unique, satisfying solutions for her clients.
Anja has worked in architecture and design for more than 15 years, managing commercial, corporate and broadcast projects. Her attention to detail and experience in the many different disciplines of architecture, interior design and construction result in accurate documentation for pricing, permitting and construction of our projects.
A native of Graz, Austria, Anja earned her degree in Architecture at the Technical University, Graz. She studied a year in Florence, Italy and has lived in the U.S. since 1998. She is a licensed architect in Austria, and speaks fluent English, German and Spanish.
• She is the head designer and will be your "eye" throughout the entire process of your project.
• Her attention to detail and project organization help to manage and coordinate the different disciples of design and construction.
• She helps to keep Juan in line and that is not an easy task.
