Paramount Software Solutions

Alpharetta, Georgia

Paramount is one of Atlanta’s leading providers of infrastructure solutions. Their services include data storage, management, infrastructure monitoring, and staffing solutions. Finding the ideal design solution tailored for this team of IT consultants was the challenge for Bach Design Studios and Studio d+c when asked to work on Paramount’s new headquarters in Alpharetta, GA.

Located on the second floor, the center of the space was occupied by stairs, elevators, and service rooms. Creating a core element around these circulation elements with common spaces, like a break room, storage and copy areas, was prominent. This solution allowed for the offices and conference room to be located along the perimeter of the building with lots of daylight.

The high-gloss, minimalistic, and contemporary look reflects the tech-culture and the color scheme reinforces the brand identity of this company.

Enervex, Inc. Headquarters

Alpharetta, Georgia

Enervex is a world- leading supplier of mechanical draft systems and integrated venting design solutions.

With an increase in the demand for their innovative products, the need for a new facility in Alpharetta, Georgia became apparent. This new facility would become the companies head quarter serving North and Central America and the Middle East.

When Bach Design Studios and Studio d+c started the work on the new master plan of the facility it was clear that the 80,000- sq.ft. warehouse from 1986 needed a complete makeover.  Incorporating the company’s innovative philosophy resulted in an efficient, functional work space with creative design solutions.

Entering the office space thru a new, bright- red colonnade, the reception area and open office space are located at the front of the building. Polished concrete floors and an exposed roof structure highlight the industrial style of the space and are elements that connect back with the warehouse. This connection of product development, sales, and production is prominent throughout the space.

A wood cladded feature wall, a break room in a birch forest, and a cozy fireplace are reminders of the Scandinavian roots of this company.

While the office space was designed for growth and flexibility, the warehouse infrastructure needs continuous adjustments and upgrades to support the development of new products. Since the initial office build out in 2012, Studio d+c, Inc has been working with Enervex on several projects of various size and complexity.

Lottafrutta, Avalon

Alpharetta, Georgia

When Lotta Frutta, a gourmet fruit house and market, had the opportunity to expand their business, they picked the Avalon in Alpharetta for their new location. This new mixed development with living, working and retail spaces would bring plenty of new customers to enjoy their fruit cups, smoothies and sandwiches. Lotta Frutta first opened in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta before adding a store at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport. With their new location in the suburbs Lotta Frutta wanted to keep their established look of a traditional, Latin mom- and-pop store. Lots of colors and vintage design elements were used. A metal storefront opens the space visually to the street and invites patrons to enjoy their refreshment in the sidewalk seating area.

The program for this project included a kitchen with prep area, dining space, restrooms, and storage.

Studio d+c worked on this project in collaboration with Liquid Design Studios and Mark Williams Design Associates.

Guy Gunter Home-Showroom

Atlanta, Georgia

The transformation from a cluttered warehouse to an elegant, sophisticated showroom describes, in short, this commercial project. With the changes in the industry, this family- owned business of three generations had to follow the trend of making the selection of appliances an experience rather than a task. With the help of designer Matthew Quinn, the 15,000 sq.ft warehouse turned into a flexible, expandable space which allows the different product brands to be showcased in an elegant, organized way. Polished concrete floors, specialty lighting, and a working showroom kitchen create a perfect setting for the latest home products the market has to offer.

Studio d+c, has worked with Guy Gunter Home on several projects and recommends them to their clients for all their appliance needs.

SCIC Cucine - Showroom

Atlanta, Georgia

With Midtown Atlanta becoming a hub for high end design, SCIC Cucine d’Italia was scouting for a showroom location in this trendy area. The luxury Italian kitchen cabinet manufacturer found a suitable location in the street- level retail space of the Viewpoint high-rise. The program for this 1800 sq.ft. design showroom included an exhibition space for several cabinet lines and appliances, as well as offices and storage space. The high gloss, white composite laminate floor and specialty lighting accentuate the sleek and minimalistic design of the showcased products. Towards Peachtree Street the new storefront with custom awnings bring attention to this retailer.

Propane, Product Design

Atlanta, Georgia

Propane Creative is an industrial design group specializing in product development and brand building. Continued growth and expansion compelled the need for new office space that would convey Propane’s high-octane image, as well as promote their creative studio culture. The owner acquired a commercial space in Atlanta’s Glennwood Park Development, but at a modest 1,600 square feet, the space initially seemed very tight for the firm’s very specific program requirements.

Studio d+c used creativity and multipurpose modular components to create an efficient, welcoming space that still incorporated every single item on their wish list: interactive reception area, open office area with projection screen, foosball table, library and central coffee lounge, owner’s office, a conference room, and a model workshop.

Propane’s passion for design is reflected in every detail of their new office space, and we are proud that Studio d+c’s architectural design solutions will inspire their future creativity.
